If you love the beach and the ocean
The chalet « la Palombière » located near Royan, 150 metres from Les Nonnes beach, is available mainly by the week, from Sunday to Sunday, to avoid the big Saturday traffic jams, but in winter there’s nothing to stop you booking for different periods and durations. For up to 8 people, you’ll be in a magical place, in Meschers, far from the hustle and bustle of the big seaside resorts, very close to the beach but in the shade under a canopy of holm oaks.
If you prefer castles and walks
Thee gîte « la Chauvellière » Ideally situated between the Loire and Loir valleys, the region offers a short drive to châteaux, vineyards and troglodyte cellars, not to mention cycle rides along the banks of the Loire and Loir rivers. This 19th-century gîte, for 8 to 9 people maximum is an overnight rental. It’s often the perfect place for family get-togethers and one-night stops on the way to your holiday destination. You’ll be close to nature and a long way from the pollution of the big cities.
The « Tour de Rêves » is a bed and breakfast. It complements the gîte « la Chauvellière ». This atypical 19th century dwelling is located in a former dovecote renovated in 2023. A real love nest for one or more nights where you can enjoy a moment of relaxation and a bowl of nature.
Philippe and Marie offer you these vacation rentals: independent chalet, gite and chambre d’hôtes on this website “vacances-la.fr”. This will enable you to avoid the service charges of traditional sites (Airbnb, Booking and Abritel). These are private rentals.
